Recent visit..?
I've not seen any footage of him for a year or so and was wondering how is health is at present?
Last time i saw him was when he went to Hattons Gym a few years back
Only recently found out that he visited Michael Watson and pretty much snapped him out of the coma![]()

“Michael was closer to death than anybody I have ever operated on,” Hamlyn says now. “I will never forget his extraordinarily athletic body anaesthetised on the operating table. Likewise as it lay regal and in coma during those long, dark weeks of vigil on the intensive care unit. I think it was only his supreme fitness that kept him alive.”
Watson spent 40 days in a coma, underwent six operations, and could not hear or speak for eight months. His recovery, in Hamlyn’s opinion, only began in earnest after Ali himself visited the hospital ward to deliver one of his inimitable pep talks.
“That was when I first saw his eyes sparkle,” says Hamlyn, “and I first dared hope that we just might win the biggest fight of his life.”

Happy Birthday to the greatest HW of all time.
Just don't get him to cut the birthday cake har har har
Happy birthday to Cassius Clay.
HB MA. I watched Facing Ali this week and both Ron Lyle and Ernie Shavers had nothing but respect for Ali, with Lyle stating that he hit Ali with everything and he should've retired after the Frazier fight. The amazing thing about Ali in 1975 is he fought Lyle, Bugner and Frazier within 5 months from May 75-October 75. (40 rounds) I'd like to see the Klitschko's do that. He was behind on all scorecards in the Lyle fight at the time of the stoppage, Bugner was never easy and the Frazier fight was the end IMO. Fights against Young, Norton and Shavers were all fought with Ali cunning and experience, surely the Shavers fight should've seen the end, but no he went on another 4 years!
We should all remember his glory days of the 60's, he was like an artist in action, we were robbed of his true peak 67-69, i doubt Frazier would've have beaten him in that time. He returns after 3 years and loses to Frazier, it must have cut him deep, then gives us an incredible performance against the monster that was George Foreman in 1974, but i wish he retired after the Thriller In Manila. Love or hate him, no man in world sports history has polarised opinion such as Muhammad Ali, the world of sport would be a duller place without him. Happy Birthday great man.
Happy birthday ya daft racist!
