Sam Peter was a good win, even though he's incredibly lacking in the skill department, just cause he's got a big punch and Wlad needed to get through 12 rounds with a guy like that. But I have no idea why the Byrd fight convinced so many people, he'd already dominated Byrd who never had the tools to do anything to Wlad. But he probably is the best out there right now.
As many dimensions as Wladimer has and as many times as the one dimensional Sam Peter dropped him I don't think he's as good as he's made outto be. And he needs points taken away for the "intentional holding" It's not like they fall into each other and get into a clinch, whenever someone gets close he grabs their arms and holds them.
Its all part of his style . That smashing and grabbing for example would favour the opponent if he fought Byrd who was in more danger standing on the outside .

He was able to get away with alot against Peter but it depends on what the ref allows . Lewis wasnt allowed to do it against Tyson and Mike took a heavy beating cuz of it.
