Did she have more of an effect on the world than Steve Jobs? Is she more deserving of our sadness at her passing. Boz you basically said suggested that Steve Jobs was not worthy of an RIP thread.
Let's not ignore what Apple contributes to humanity.

Whitney Houston never did these kinds of things. We ignore it just as long as we have a piece of plastic in our hands. She hurt herself, Apple hurts a lot more.

Didn't even watch that TBH , but Whitney Houston funded the pockets of drug dealers that kept them in business and allowing them to sell drugs to others including the vunerable.

Apple has changed the world we live in fact - and that's nothing to do with phones or Ipads.

    Anyway, who cares

Well, you should watch. It is important and you would change your views on Jesus Jobs.

And don't forget Apple has done well because of slave labour. Steve Jobs was a nob. And frankly Whitney Houston was a far more interesting human being.

Whitney Houston is something that doesn't matter to me, but when you have people saying that Steve jobs matters more I do take issue.

I started a thread years ago attacking China for their human right issues and nobody cared and suddenly Jobs is God and we should all say so. Utter crap.

The guy was a self interested business man and in turn his own actions hang him. He wasn't very nice.

Am I supposed to admit I am wrong here?

Apple has wage slaves who kill themselves.

And people are supposed to herald Jobs who was a bit of a cunt?

I never said Jobs' life was worth more, I was actually highlighting the fact that you made a big song and dance about him getting an RIP thread, one of your reasons being (and reasons you and others have stated on other threads) that Steve Jobs' (or anybody's) death is no more sad than anybody elses in the world and that millions die each day. I was just making the point that you seem to feel differently about Whitney Houston (and Gary Speed) in that their deaths, for some reason deserve some recognition (even though millions of other people died on those days)

some peoples deaths can be a little bit more sad than others

there was this bird at my school called angela and she was from a rough area of the world and her parents didnt have a lot of money, there was all stories about domestic abuse and stuff like that

at school she was bullied really badly, people constantly calling her names and that. The name she was called the most as i remember was scrubber

i was walking down the road with a friend of mine once and she walked past on the other side of the road and my mate just started abusing her, it was pretty shocking

anyway i recently found out she died of cancer at the age of 17

now thats a sad story, sadder than most, a lot more sad than a rich pop star who lived the high life and had all the things she wanted and just took too many drugs in the end
Officially the only saddo who has had a girlfriend

    No, they are just different.

But your story is very sad.

Death is death no matter what fanfare.
