Oh yeah i feel fine, i just threw some jabs and he ducked under the cross and hooked me, i think he only got me once in that 9 seconds with that hook.. but greatness doesnt come without failure, ill come back to the cage sometime. :P

Good attitude. One doesn't become good at something by quitting at the first time they fail.

Good to hear, not many who post here even step into a ring or a cage so you're miles ahead of most in the balls and initiative department.

Cheer up...don't let it get in your head. Just learn from it. Like they say...Boxing is tough...the test is given first, and then the lessons are learned afterward.

It's a great thing that you got into the ring, lost and still want to get back in the ring - most never even get in the ring the first time, let alone for a second time. You got heart and balls! Good stuff.

You say "ima work on all the things i did wrong, which might be hard since it was quick but ima try ". To me it wasn't so much what you did wrong in the ring, it was what you did wrong in the weeks and months before the fight. Re-read your previous thread asking for advice; there's a lot to learn there if you're open to it.

Also, you say you might get some MMA fights now and then for fun. It's hard to beat a man when you're fighting for fun and he's fighting to win. :-)

Keep us posted on your progress and post the fight video when it comes out.

I can tell you that losing early in your career probably has its advantages. There is a great amount of psychology to this game (and life), to which accepting, understanding and learning from loss is a part. I fought to and became national champion without a loss, but when it finally did come that fall was hard as hell to deal with, whereas might have been a lot easier had I had it earlier.

I've been reading your threads on here Sandman1995, but haven't responded much, been really busy with things lately. But I will tell you what I have learned the most about this sport, as we are similar in age (I was born 1994), but started boxing a lot younger. I set goals for myself, small manageable goals, and big goals too. I had the great pleasure of hitting those biggest ones. But when I got there, it wasn't some celebration of..."Ya! I made it!" It in fact felt very hollow.

Then I came to realize what I got the most from boxing, was in the day to day grind, the training, the matches, testing and stretching my limits, the people met in and around the ring. the entire deal. In reflecting it wasn't the arriving which has meant the most, but the journey. Do the work. Wherever you and boxing end up, you'll be glad and appreciative for the journey.

Yeah, the thing about it happening so quick is that i already know that i went in to quick and didnt back up, my original plan was stick and move, lots of jabs, double jabs and 1-2 combinations, but after i saw all those people i got butterflies in my stomach and just kinda went in without thinking.. i think the next time i go into it ill be more prepared
