Havin thought about it, im not so perturbed by the term 'gurdian' - if it were at all used to describe same sex parents - however the word 'parent' just seems too sacred to be given to homosexuals...

Back in the day nobody in their right mind would have ever imagined that gays would be parading in the cities, looking for support, having their own tv channels, their own magazines, etc. and now fighting for people to support their desire to get married. I wouldn’t be surprised if the next generation saw a 50 year old women/men parading the streets with thier 13 year old boyfriend/girlfriend all in the name of love asking the public to support them and be open minded and accepting of their relationship. Sure, we might say “That’s wrong and disgusting. No way that will happen”. That’s the same thing people thought about homosexuals/lesbians not so long ago.

One of my sisters is a lesbian. She has a profession and is in a long term relationship. She is ordinary.
To be offended, or even concerned, with someones lifestyle that has no bearing on you in the slightest just makes you a complete and utter muggy cunt. Fact.

Out of interest do you think it's ok for siblings to have relations? Or parents and their offspring, assuming all were adults and consenting?
What about polygamists? I mean if a man wanted to marry three women and they were all happy with the arrangement would that be ok?
I don't see any difference between the above and homosexuality, with the exception that homoesexuality has been so vigourously campaigned for over the last 30 years that it's seemingly more wholesome than living a hetrosexual lifestyle.
Not trying to pick an argument it's just interesting to me as I think homosexuality is no more or less weird than those listed above.

I guess the point I am making is that most people would openly deplore two siblings in love, even more so a father and daughter, or mother and son. And few would have time for a man with three wives. I'd imagine even large age gaps, say 20 years or more between a couple would attract open disaproval from many people.
In all of these cases, those condemning would not be judged as being bigoted or phobic against these lifestyles, it would just be accepted that such things were wrong and deserved scorn.
But with homosexuality it has been so massively campaigned for that people's attitudes have switched so strongly that those who say they don't like it are the ones classed as immoral.
It's an interesting paradigm shift.

Are you for real?
You do realise that you are the weird one surely. You are in no position to lecture people on their private life. As for the stupid offensive nature of your argument it reveals a deep seated uncomfortableness with your own sexuality and is a clear demonstration of what you call cognitive dissonance in action.

Not directed at me I know but I have no problem with polgamy, again doesn't affect me in least, if a dude wants to have ten women, or the reverse, and everyone involved is doing it out of their own free will, let them go for it I couldn't care less. As for siblings again doesn't concern me but that might lead to some biological problems and screw the offspring hence no.
