Yes it's called brighton(south pole)
for American fight fans this is a very sad day. We have already seen Sith Lord Haymon peddling his fighters to showtime (now that there is a sympathetic ex-GB guy as head and HBO has Hershman who wasn't pro Haymon when he ran Showtime).
Why is it a sad day?
Because the fact that Showtime turned down Bute/Froch is an absolute joke.
Froch wasn't on the pre-approved list?
Are you kidding me.
froch isn't an acceptable opponent? He only was outclassed by Ward. Every other fight in the Super 6 he won or fought on an even level. And while Bute should be the favorite over Froch, I don't think Bute is head and shoulders above Froch, the way that Ward is.
Froch not on the pre-approved list. JOKE.
Other possible options(top 10 ranked by Ring Magazine at 16:
Ward-injured and wants a break
Kessler-fighting Stieglitz
Stieglizt-fighting Kessler
Bika-Bute already beat him
Glen Johnson-Bute already beat him
Oousthizen (or however you spell his name)- yeah I can't even spell his name and have seen fight only once. That would really make sense.
Abraham-yeah that would make sense since he got outclassed in the Super 6
George Groves-yeah, we know he isn't ready for this level of fight. In a couple of years, maybe.
So who did I not mention?
Andre Dirrell-I wouldn't be suprised if somehow he was on the "pre approved list". He's Haymon's boy. And while he has good footspeed and handspeed, I don't want to see him fight that much. He often forgets the difference between "boxing" and "RUNNING". In addition, I still have at least a small part of me wondering about the Abraham fight and whether that was an acting job (to some extent).
175 pound fighters-doesn't make alot of sense to me. Bute could fight at 175, he is a big 168 pounder. He weighed 173 or something like that in his pro debut 8 or 9 years ago. But why would he move to 175 and then just have to make 168 in the next fight against Ward?? Doesn't make sense.
