Hatton was world class, Calzaghe was world class, Lewis was world class. Brits are not perennial underachievers at all. We do very well for a small nation with only a quarter of the population that you have. You have to factor that in. Britain is a small country that has historically risen above its station and you can apply that to many areas including sports.
