In their previous fight, in 1999, Oleg Maskaev knocked Hasim Rahman completely out of the ring en route to a knockout victory. Because of their concern for Rahman's safety, Dennis Rappaport, with the Maskaev camp said yesterday that Maskaev is planning to petition the Nevada State Athletic Commission for extra padding on the arena floor around the ring to cushion the blow to Rahman's head when he is re-launched down and out

That safety thing is BS. Extra padding is very hard on the legs for some fighters, Maskaev might be hoping Rahman gets tired again

In their first fight, Rahman was knocked COMPLETELY out of the ring next to Jim Lampley. Maskaev wants padding OUTSIDE the ring

i misread it, i thought he was talking about the padding in the ring

thanks, but I already seen the fight. I just misread it, some how i misread where it says arena floor for ring floor, I don't know how, but i did.

still... it does not hurt to watch that over, and over, and over again.....unless your a rahman fan.....

no I'am not a Rahman fan, but i think he will beat Maskaev this time
I will watch it one more time just to hear Lampley say, he just landed right next to me ( don't remember his exact words)
