Our gym is...basically non-existant. We used to be based in an army barracks (bassingbourn if you know it) but the gym was knocked down, we're now based in my town (Royston in Hertfordshire). So we are now in a community hall (going to be our home forever now), we have nothing except floor space, skipping ropes and gloves, pads and headgear. Supposed to be getting some bags up (about 14 apparently) within a few weeks, and then we're getting a collapsable ring in April.
We're trained by between 4 and 7 trainers (some dont turn up always), 3 ex-amateurs (one might have been pro not sure though) 1 Army Physical Training Instructor who boxes for the army aswell, and 3 guys who were boxers but only like lesuirly, and they come sometimes.
We start with a 15mins warm up, running around the hall, then we do a load of stretches, then some bodyweight exercises, pressups, situps, burpees, tuck jumps, squat thrusts. We then do a few rounds shadowboxing. Then, if its a tuesday we focus on circuit training for an hour or so, doing various exercises, mainly abdominals. Or if its a wednesday, we do boxing skill related stuff, like skipping, pads, technique, footwork, sparring. Then we have a 10min warm down with running around again and some more streches.
Its annoying that we dont have a better gym, and that we dont have more sessions a week, and that they arent harder (the gym has a lot of young kids about 7+) so they cant make it to hard for the few older people (theres about 15 people over 14, the oldest being about 30). Your gym sounds pretty good alex, would be great if we had a beach we could run on nearby, but we're nowhere near the sea, or any water saying that.
