I like both fighters, Macklin has hear and Birmingham born. Sergio battered our Williams, who was a quality fighter, and hope Sergio gets the big fights he deserves.

How ripped does Sergio look, his veins will be popping out of his skin.

i personally think if there is ever a case for peds its sergio, hes improved massively in so many ways in his mid 30s, speed and power are so much improved, and at a higher weight

    how is he doing it?

Stop doubting the guy. He's no faster than he was before. His power hasn't improved. If anything, in his last fight, he looked worse than he has in a while. He's no more ripped than he was back in the day. Go check his fights out. He's a phenomonal athlete. He doesn't drink between fights. He is a cycler when he isn't training for a fight. He has offered in many interviews to submit to Olympic style testing with a fight with Floyd. Sergio, like Campillo, didn't start boxing until he was 20, so, his peak has been late r than average. Plus, he hasn't been in many wars. They say a fighter's age is different than his ring age, and Sergio's ring age isn't very old.

Sergio is better now than he was then? How? Because of his showing against Darren Barker?

Its a good point but there were a few fights in the past where you would think martinez would have performed much better in if he had have them now

    Perhaps its just the experience

Macklin's got no chance. He's made for Martinez.

That doesn't mean he's not a worthy challenger. But he's getting KO'd. Martinez wont be standing in front of him letting him unload combos like Sturm did.

Anything can happen in pro boxing, Macklin is super motivated and figures to give it his all, his all however simply won't be enough. The thing is, Martinez is at the top of his game right now, and on a roll, he's 37 but still looks to be in his prime. Macklin plans to bring it and brawl, if he does I don't see this fight going past 8 rounds before Sergio busts him up and stops him.

Martinez vs Macklin card starts tonight @ 10:00 PM ET on HBO or in about an hour here in the States, and at around 3:00 AM Sunday in the UK.

    March 17
At New York (HBO): Sergio Martinez vs. Matthew Macklin, 12 rounds, for Martinez's Ring magazine middleweight title.

Beginning 1st - HBO might show 1 or both of these undercard fights:

Time for my 1st Guinness, to get me in the spirit of St. Paddy's Day, if Merchant is calling this fight for HBO he'll be half in the bag by the time the main event starts.
