Nothing beats a good shave! I use oil & cream applied with a badger hair brush and as for aftershave it MUST be alcohol free because alcohol dries the skin and makes you look old. The brand I use is called 'The Art of Shaving' and the oil & cream have a sandalwood scent to them. Perfect stuff really, never any razor burn or dry sOikin and leaves my face smooth as silk.

If I had a steadier hand and more time I would use a straight razor because that's the best shave you can get! And a hot towel treatment after....oh, very nice, a great shave will make you look and feel like a million bucks!

Thats how the Turks do it but with a wierd head massage at the end, right between the eyebrows... surly they can see I dont have a monobrow??

I will try shaving at night time as suggested by @0james0.

Like most of you grow it for weekends and holidays, but if it is too long end up looking like a bum.

Midweek I leave a goatee.

Use a boiling glass of water to dip the cheap disposable razers which are thrown away after 3 or 4 uses.
