If you have shotty reflexes, is there anything you can do to help improve them?

    Speed ball.

    Tennis ball on elastic.

Look at Scraps exercises on utube and in here; on the rolling pipe on a board / bouncing two balls while moving balanced etc.

Perfect balance /coordination = economy of movement, better speed and reflexes.

Eye to hand coordination sports, ping pong, catch, hand ball even juggling would help hand eye coordination.

You could get someone with a broom stick with a protective end on it to attack you with it, if you can duck and avoid them with straight thrusts, a straight punch and the size of a glove will look easier once you are used to it.

Condition your mind. If everything you do is predicated on one thing- for example, slip a jab and counter- and that is in your mind when you shadowbox, hit the heavy bag, double end bag, whatever, then you reflexively do that thing when somebody throws a jab in your direction.
You can have super-duper reflexes but there's no point if you don't have a plan as to what to do with them.

For me, sparring always did it the best. Practice dodging as best as you can, really.

Putting the Head[ Oral Cavity where the Balance mechanism is] in the position to orchestrate the Body's movement with Clarity. Everything comes from the Head as regards movement, thought, Balance, Activity.
