Then aren't you effectively disagreeing with the man who came up with the idea Bruce Lee himself? I may be wrong but as far as i saw it JKD is whatever works for YOU ie its a concept and not a martial art.

that again depends, if for example if you believe that the jkd stance is the most appropriate stance for fighting then is it wrong to call it a jkd stance? It does have a core which is more than empty words.

I do get a little miffed with those who have maybe read a book on Lee then come out as if they knew what he meant. I think certain MA's use Lee's name as a badge. Those who knew him can't agree on what way to take it how can we?
