Your all completely mental, Jim Watt is brilliant. Commentators are best as a double act. Ex-pro and layman to represent the casual fan. Ian Darke is a genius in that he manages to be almost completely innocuous and yet at the same time infuriate Jim Watt. He tries to hide it but Jim Watt is seriously pissed underneath at what he probably sees as the clueless Darke. I miss their chemistry. The new guy is a bit too safe and unlikely to say stupid things to anger Watt or contradict him and consequently people are taking it out on Jim. Seriously he is usually quite unbiased and will often be the only Brit to caution the rest of the team for their unrealistic forecasts. I like his mumbling, his dulcet tones provide a great contrast to the estuary blahblish of his co commentator and to be honest what is the alternative? Duke Mckenzie ..Steve Bunce? Actually Mcrory and Woodhall are ok.
What do you guy's think of the old school style of legends like Reg Gutteridge and Harry Carpenter? ah...thread idea
