Hallo people,
i have a question about boxing with this type of style. Most of the new guys start to box that way based on history reasons. It is nice to be able to evade all the punches and to be able to punch the oponent with all punches, but lets face it we are not Mike Tyson... What give some kind of redundancy of this style is to be able to cover when needed. Now it sounds simple just to lift your hands up, but as with all I think it isn't. It makes me strong impression how some heavyweights get KOed even covered, while having no bad chin... This leaves me thinking what will be the right way to cover up? For example how high must the hands come and on which part on the hand we need to take the punches? Where the glove must be pressed against the head, if pressed? Where do we need to look and must the back be straight in order to get a solid base and not get knocked out of balance?
