Morrison-Mercer II: Had Tommy BOXED Ray and not tried to KO him it would have been a different fight

Ibeabuchi-Tua II: Because why the fuck not

Wlad-Sanders II: No doubt it would have been a VERY tough fight for Wlad to take right after such a shocking loss and he was in no shape to take it after the loss to Brewster as well, but avenging that loss would have really settled his career down sooner. I think Sanders would have beaten him again if they rushed back to fight him.

Lewis-Vitali II: A Hell of a fight to start with, but imagine if both guys had actually prepared to fight each other instead of Kirk Johnson and Cedric Boswell. The eye healed up just fine, but I think Lennox knew he wasn't getting any younger, because Vitali took everything Lennox threw and Lennox was the one that saw the most trouble, the most NON CUT trouble. 2nd round, Vitali landed a HUGE right cross that had Lewis holding on for dear life.

Ali V Foreman (Was Foreman that demoralized?)
Sanchez V Nelson (It would've happened if not for untimely death)
Hagler V Hearns (Such an amazing 3 rounds, maybe Tommy could've turned it around?)
Hagler V Leonard (Strange this didn't happen?)
Chavez V Whitaker (Should've been automatic, worst decision i have seen)
Jones jr V Hopkins (1994) (Hopkins did well in that first fight, 6 months later, who knows?)
DLH V Whitaker (It was close, possibly Sweet Pea's final hurrah?)
DLH V Trinidad (DLH deserved a rematch, he won that fight!)
Klitschko V Lewis (if not for cuts, Lewis was in trouble)
Barrera V Hamed (Only to see Hamed humiliated again!)

On principal...Foreman vs Shultz. There are too may. In an off way and because it was guaranteed chaos what about Benn vs Barkley...for that matter Echols vs Brewer. Might get shot here but how about Kostya vs Judah Trinidad vs Oscar...it just should have happened. Oh and once again Chavez vs Randall after that opt out in second fight, immediately, not when Randall was war torn and fresh out of a rehab facility years later.

Foreman was VERY demoralized after the Ali fight. The Ali fight had him doubting his own manliness.

I'd have liked to see a rematch between Foreman and Chuvalo. That fight was stopped too early, and it isn't too crazy to say that Chuvalo stood a decent chance of winning it.

Foreman-Chuvalo II Why? Chuvalo's corner stopped the fight

Chuvalo's corner shouldn't have. Foreman was getting spent. Many of the punches landed on the top of the head and deflected. Chuvalo was taking some very hard shots, but Foreman was spending a lot of energy. Ali showed that you have to withstand the barrage to beat Foreman, and Chuvalo didn't get the chance.

This is a great list. I'd just remove Barrera/Hamed -- though I know you didn't include it for the same reason -- and replace it with Hopkins/Calzaghe -- fan reaction is very mixed on who deserved the first one; although a rematch may well have been just as inconclusive.

It was a close fight and probably should've seen a rematch, Hopkins just didn't do enough to beat Joe Balls that night.

Joe Frazier was knocked down a bunch of times. Chuvalo was never knocked down, and was still on his feet with his defense up, waiting for the barrage to end.

I remember watching Morrison get his ears boxed off for a few rounds and shook on the Holyfield-Foreman undercard & thinking..why in the hell does this guy want a Mercer, Morrison didn't have the savy or 'ugly' guile of a Damiani or an ancient occasio, but real glad they put it at stake so early in boths guys careers. Mercer had some underrated depth, a short fat jab and the minute he started boxing Tommy and moving it was really a matter of time. Morrison was sold as a slugger through and through then and he just didn't have the option in his toolbox. Honestly I think had they fought 5 times I'd def pick Mercer for the sweep.
