Whats wrong with Escobedo (who I thought was a poor choice when I first heard it mentioned, until I heard about Sykes), Burgos, Vasquez or Martinez?

I don't think Broner is avoiding Uchiyama. Broner only just win his trinket, then defended against the top contender in Perez. Uchiyama is also guilty of staying put at home. I think Uchiyama is an outstanding fighter, but he should fight Aoh.

If these two happen to fight I'd pick Broner to stop him!

Broner is still a prospect at best and with his already high attitude on himself it kinda sucks to give him any more shine but he would curb stomp uchiyama and im picking broner by a litzau-esqe brutal ko probably around the 1:15 mark of the ringwalk against sykes
