I think that both men will make progress in the weight class and I wouldn't mind seeing a rematch further down the line.
I agree.

It was eerily similar to Brian Vera vs. Andy Lee I.

I'd have to re-watch that one, just remember seeing in live on FNF. I seem to remember Vera starting to get back into the fight for quite a bit before he really hurt Lee though, with some given and take even before then Maybe it was more sudden than I remember. Sillakh basically just had a heavy bag in front of him but got tired and stopped thinking then was taken out with one of the same telegraphed shots he'd been seeing all night. I don't have high hopes for him anymore but mostly because I don't think Gorchev is anything at all.
Your right it was more competitive, but still Lee was dominating.

Gorchev seemed slow as molasses and in over his head.

Guy has a champion's heart though and packs a pretty good punch.
I just think sillakh should just be more aggressive. He's got good technical ability, I think he could have had Grachev out of there if he had put together his punches more. I remember the commentry saying how composed he is and that isn't necessarily a bad thing, but when you have a pressure fighter like Grachev hurt early on in the fight like Sillakh did I would have thought he could have got him out of there.

I do think he will bounce back though and no doubt would have learnt a lot from this defeat. I hope he gets back in the ring soon because he is a talent.
