Report on ring mag says Golden Boy is trying to make Albarez-Paul Williams next (Sept). Probably entertaining but I don't think it's competitive at this point. And if they're going to match him with someone else before Cotto, I'd have preferred Kirkland.

Both are good fights and will present different challenges to Canelo. Isn't it funny that it is widely accepted that Molina beat Kirkland and Lara beat Williams, yet, it is Williams and Kirkland, not Lara or Molina, getting the Canelo fight.

It is even worse than that for Molina.

Lara beating williams; Williams in discussion for Canelo

Molina or Lara are a much tougher test for Canelo. Molina is awkward. Lara is a skilled southpaw.

Canelo's team avoding both like the plague in favor of a brawler (Kirkland) or a guy who used to win solely on length, chin, and volume (PW).

I can't recall many guys trying to start facing the absolute elite of the entire sport when they won't even take on a top guy in his division who isn't ancient and is still in his prime!!!!!!!!

So what exactly is Alvarez suppose to say when asked if he wants to fight Mayweather? No? I don't deserve it? Come on now. He ain't gonna say that.

Think about it. He's 21 and doesn't have a problem trying to challenge himself against the sports best. Yet he's been criticized for that. Un fucking believable
