See you mention "son".
You obviously dont have the desire this man has to taste it for yourself. Let him try it.
I know myself from boxing that starting out is hard but if its something you want to do you dont mind it and you enjoy the learning process. Hearing your trainer tell you that you did something well rather than them pointing out your mistakes all the time, getting caught less in sparring, landing more in sparring, not being as knackered on the pads. All these little things are confidence boosters and only those who done boxing will know the pride and confidence they get from improving their fitness and boxing ability through hard graft. Shy should we deny anyone of any age that? He says pro, hes not jumping straight in with Mayweather, we dont need to worry about his health, in fact looking at his profile picture we should all be glad hes taking it up for his health
Enjoy the training until you feel copetant and confident and show real interest and enthusiasm to learn and improve to your trainer and you might get yourself a white collar bout. You are too old to do amateur and without having to make too many sacrifices you can take part in white collar, which is basically amateur for fat older rich people. This will give you a more fair footing than turning pro will. Imagine, all thsi talk in here and you could be getting a call from Kimbos management![]()
