Good post, SRR. I agree with you on a lot of your points. At this stage, it looks like it's gonna be the Heat vs. the Spurs in the Finals. Both of them are 2-0 up on their opponents. I felt bad for the Celtics, who gave it their complete ALL in last night's OT loss. Rondo was just INSANE, playing all minutes of the OT loss and scoring 44 points. He definitely can't be blamed. I thought the Celts got the raw end of some sloppy officiating, like the "no-call" when Rondo got smacked in the face by Wade while driving to the basket in the crucial final minutes. Also, I thought Wade could've just as well been called on that drive where he basically kicked Garnett while getting fouled himself. While I admire the run that Wade and Lebron have been on... I'm getting to dislike them more and more. So if in fact they meet the Spurs in the Finals, I hope they get their asses kicked. I'm not sure the Celtics are finished... but in my mind they'd have to sweep the games in Boston to have any chance. On the other side, I like the Thunder as a team, but I also think they're basically finished. In any case, I'll be rooting AGAINST the Heat no matter who they play.

Rondo absolutely exploded last night - not just the 44 points but very nearly a triple double, he was on fire. You're right about the dodgy officiating - it started with that odd technical for Doc Rivers in the first game, and since then it's only gotten worse if anything. I can't help but feel if Ray Allen were hitting his shots the Celtics would be a real force, and would really push Miami to their limits/possibly beat them, but at the moment even with PP and KG chipping in and Rondo on beast mode they still managed to lose, and that was with LeChoke missing all kinds of shots and two free throws in the 4th. Tbh the Spurs just look untouchable at the moment, OKC have played very well against them but the Spurs always just had more in the tank when they needed it, they are such a great unit and always seem to have 2/3 players on the court who can change the game and step up when the game is on the line. They are overall the strongest team left in then playoffs, and the most clutch, too. Can't see Miami beating them at the moment, but if (and it's a big if) Bosh manages to get fit for the finals then things might change, but I would still imagine the Spurs would use their experience to edge Miami out.

Damn! What a horrible beating the Thunder handed the Spurs last night. It was downright embarassing. This type of loss can turn a series around. Don't count out the Thunder just yet.

Thunder kicked Spurs ass last night at home after going 0-2 at San Antonio....... Celtics kicking some Heat ass tonight at home after going 0-2 in Miami. Home court advantage at its best.

An absolutely incredible defensive performance from the Thunder, was really happy to see them get back into the series, and the same goes (even moreso tbh ) for the Celtics. I really hope the Celtics can turn it around and dump the Heat out, don't really mind who wins in the West, would kind of like to see the old lions get one last championship, but on the other hand the Thunder have been great this season and it would be nice to see them overhaul the odds and come back to beat the Spurs, though I think tbh the Spurs will bounce back from this defeat and close out the series in 6.

Well, the Thunder just tied up the series. Durant just took over the last part of the game. I'm not so sure San Antonio is a shoo-in anymore. I also wouldn't mind either team from the West. I'm hoping the Celtics follow suit tomorrow, though, against the Heat. And in that series I'm rooting for the Celtics.

I agree, the Thunder have clawed their way back into this series in a very impressive fashion. In fact, if this series continues to provide such high quality (from either team) it may end up being one of the classics. Durant scored something like 16 consecutive points in the 4th? Really pulled it out for OKC there, but I was also really impressed by the shift Harden put in, he shot something like 75-80% tonight, major contribution there. I really hope the Celtics can somehow beat the Heat, but the Heat have to be favourites. If the Celtics win the next game though, we could end up seeing both series going right to the wire, which would be great - would love PP to just dominate game 7, pulling out all the stops in the 4th and either hitting the winning shot or dishing it to Ray Allen for a sweet 3pt buzzer-beater to win the series

I love the NBA playoffs. Strange since I couldn't care less about the NBA regular season.

I'm this close to picking the Thunder over the Spurs. Fuck it, I'm picking the Thunder. They're so much more athletic. If they just had home court advantage I'd feel pretty good about it.

I think the title goes to the Western Conference team. Just not that blown away by the Heat. I definitely think they could it all, but they're a pretty flawed team. For all the hate that Lebron gets, I definitely hate D-whistle more. Dirty player, whiny, etc.

What a great game last night! OKC looked a little nervy in the first half, came out shooting poorly, looked like the occasion might be getting to them, but Durant and Westbrook really stepped up for their team. Lebron actually played pretty well, went missing at times but unfortunately for him Westbrook and Durant decided that whenever their team needed something, they were going to be the ones to provide it. Wha about that play from Durant, stealing the ball, running the full length of the court, getting to the rim and drawing the foul for a 3 pont play to make it a 7 point game just before the half? And I thought he guarded Lebron really well at times. Excited for tonight's game, you can't write the Heat off, especially with Bosh back, but I really think that if Westbrook and Durant play well for OKC (particularly if Durant can shut Lebron down for a quarter) then the Heat will lose. Battier and Chalmers were big for them in the first half, but they couldn't sustain it, and I definitely don't think they will sustain it throughout the series, so if OKC can defend against Lebron and Wade effectively they could take the series in 6 IMO.

Six games means it'll come back to OKC, which should certainly spell doom for the Heat. I'm thinking that the Thunder might be able to close it out in Miami. I think they should ride the momentum to a win tonight, and in Miami should easily be able to take at least 1 out of 3, maybe even 2 of 3. Whatever the case might be... I think the Thunder have too much firepower for the Heat. I just hope nobody key gets injured, as this would have a huge effect on the series.
