I think Hatton will fight Urango or someone and should try to get a title before fighting JLC,up the stakes. Urkal will probably figt Collazo for teh vacant title so I think we can say Hatton is done at 147 for the time being.

Just for the time being, I'd prefer to see Hatton try to clean out the division the way Tszyu did, before moving back up to 147.Originally Posted by The Game

Interesting match up that I really believe Hatton will lose his first fight in.
Castillo is a rough customer & he'll have hellish reach on Ricky. I just don't know that this is the smart fight to take...especially after seeing him in with Collazo. Collazo kept Hatton on the end of 72" for the better part of the last 7 rounds of their fight.
Hatton's got like a 65" reach & Castillo's pushing 69" & IWO is the much harder puncher & thicker chinned warrior.
It'll be a gut & chin checker...I'll say that much...but I sure as shat aint pickin a winner.
Never beg a 40 dollar hooker...specially after she's just turned down your mom's credit card!!
That's the thing though Collazo was a natural WW and JLC is pushing 31 of I'm correct. He has had like 60 plus fights right? Surely it will catch up with his somewhere! 1 thing though, both are prone to cutting so expect lots of blood!!
I agree with everything your saying bro, you gotta give respect to Hatton if he takes on a guy like Castillo!!!Originally Posted by wacko3205

castillos power wont be a problem as Tszyu hits jarder and he passed that test, its gonna be boxing at its best, im moist thinking about itOriginally Posted by galaxy76
i agree with ya , and i know castilos been in some wars but hes never been in with some1 like hatton, i know its da same 4 hatton but feel rickys heart and determination will see him win, dont see this 1 going the distance thoughOriginally Posted by wacko3205

They are both bulls I have seen much more of Castillo compared to a few Hatton fights. Castillo is a freak and that chin is Fuking scary you can beat that some bitch with a lead pipe and your not dropping him on his ass..They are both pressure type fighters who love it messy on the inside this fight will be in a phone booth...
That is definetly a fan friendly fight....AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you know what... I see an upset here
JLC is one tough mother fucker. Hatton couldn't take out a fighter like Eamon Magee and couldn't even hurt Collazo so why should anybody thinik Hatton will be too big for him.
JLC stoppage late rounds.
i say your wrong on that one hatton likes to take em out, but you forget he is one of the most finely tuned and physically fit endurance wise, boxers out there, and he might not have been able to hurt collazo but it hurt him inside when he suffered and early flash knockdown and a 10-8 round! and eamon must be the only guy to have knocked him down and yet ricky stepped up and out boxed eamon for the rest of the fight and won a fair decision! so its fair to say hatton could well pull it off and he'll get respect either way cos theres noway he'll lose without it bieng a war!!
Immortal Technique
Right on ! I would think Hatton would be the favorite. I don't see JLC beating himOriginally Posted by body head banger
I fink Hatton will surprise some people and try to box castillo atl east for the first few rounds. All though Hatton was poor in his last fight but that dont make you a bad boxing over night ,he still is a good boxer eg Against tackie and Magee,i know these arent in the same league as Castillo but he a good boxer!
Could be a great matchup for sure but I still think if he vacates his 147 lb to leave Collzao fighting Urkal to get it back it's basically an admission that Collazo won first time around.
I would still rather see Hatton fight Collazo again than anybody else just because I think there is unfinished business there.
Plus if Collazo wins his belt back, Ricky will have to put up with people saying he dodged Collazo and it will be a smear on his name.
If he drops back now I guess we can say goodbye to a Mayweather fight ever happening, probably Cotto too if he moves up.
This would be great--I've been saying for a while that this is the fight I'd most like to see at 140. Castillo by UD or late stoppage on cuts. And I'd rather see the winner take Cotto than Corrales.
Woah!?! Jt rock agreeing with me?! Have a cc back bro. Bilbo,I disagree,I think fighting JLC and another big fight against Cotto or Corrales would easily make up for not rematching Collazo. Remember,he has the W convincing or not and by moving to 140,maybe knows he wouldn't be able to win a rematch.
