Default Acelino Freitas KO's undefeated kid at 154 ! (VIDEO)

Acelino Freitas Beats Down Michael Oliveira For KO Win - Boxing News

Some how, some way Freitas came off a 5 year lay off, jumped up 20 lbs and destroyed the 154 lb Michael Oliveira who had been calling him out.

This is unbelievable ! I remember hearing about this fight, seeing this kid fight once and thinking Freitas wouldn't have a chance.

    Apparently he dominated the fight.

"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"

Wow thought Freitas would get battered. It was a small hall I thought Acelino was huge in Mexico.

Looking at his record, he seems like a young kid waiting to be exposed or one that bit off way more than he could chew. He really had faced no one of note and was unproven. Freitas may get crap for quitting in two fights but even coming out of retirement was in a better class than this kid. Fight was the definition of "be careful what you wish for"

Freitas is from Brazil. Not Mexico. And they faught in Uruguay. Which explains the small hall. Either way it great news. Olivera is garbage. Stupid, rich, fake ass fighter got what he deserved.

if this is just a one-off then great for Freitas. If he wants to have some sort of extended comeback he will have to get down to 140 at the least.

I would guess it is just a one-off as I believe he is a politician in Brazil and took the fight just to shut this joker up.

He looked pretty quick though, you never know the hunger might come back after a performance like that. He would no doubt have to go down in weight, you never know he could do something at 140 , there's no too many outstanding fighters at that weight.

I'm not a trainer but my advice to that guy would be to try to get out of the way of right hands.

    So true.

My advice also would be don't call out a fighter that was once elite(even if it would be 20 pounds above his best weight) if you have never beaten anyway good.

Yes. A has been world champion/world class fighter will often beat the hell out of a never was youngster.

A bit like when Mike Mollo got thrashed by Andrew Golota, or Abraham Okine challenged Shannon Briggs and got a horrible beating.

In any case I looked up Oliveira's record on boxrec and he had beaten some guys with decent records, a couple of of his opponents had 25-4 records or thereabouts. Also Oliveira was the much bigger man as he had fought as high as 165, and the kid was 22 years old, 14 years younger than tit sucker ! (Popo).

Freitas is a massive name in Brazil, he's in politics and whatnot. Oliveira I think is Brazilian too. So why are they fighting in Uruguay? Surely they would have made a lot more money in Brazil? Anybody know?

Well done Freitas by the way. I knew this fight was coming up and I got to see it pretty soon after it happened. Far better entertainment than the Showtime card this weekend.

you have to look at the actual records. Oliveira beat a 24-7-2 guy, who happened to be 36 yrs old. beat a 23-7 guy who had been TKO'd in his previous fights (and had beaten 1 fighter with a winning record and more than 4 wins), an 18-7 fighter who had lost 5 of his 7 fights prior to fighting Oliveira.

Have to look behind the somewhat decent records to see that the guys were kind of shite.

Regardless I still think what Freitas did was pretty remarkable. He beat a much much bigger, younger, undefeated fighter. I'm happy for him.

I'm very happy for him as well. He was a guy I rooted for.
