Gerrard and Johnson are quality IMO, but the others I just see as filler and you shouldn't have filler in an international squad. English football is so overrun with foreigners that we are scraping the barrel when it comes to more than a handful of good players.

A lot of my students are into football and I agreed with one who described is as 'non-football'. Another described it as 'defense, defense and defense. Another mocked it as '4 chances. Ha, ha, ha'. I was in total agreement with them all.

It is containment football and nothing else and furthermore it is boring to watch. It was like watching Haye against Valuev. Quite tedious.

Yes but you and your students are all in the same boat. You lack the footballing education to see whats really going on

There's more than one way to skin a dog, you should remind them of that.
