Lee should side step more often since Jr is always leaning forward, side step and boom uppercut under those hooks. For the love of god stay away from the ropes if you got the legs.

What next?
He cant provide a specimen for a drug test and gets to bring his own gloves?

I haven't seen Chavez Jr before but he looked pretty good to me. Just walked all over Lee.Not even competitive.

Chavez is average at best. If he ever fights anybody his own size who can punch he'll take a well-deserved beating.

He keeps calling out Martinez like a rooster and yet people would have to be stupid to think that he would fight him with all that bravado unless he would get a bunch of advantages. If Arum thinks Martinez is going to fight him in a ring the size of a ten cent stamp, allow him to bring his own gloves, with an Arum ref in Texas and ignore the new same day weigh in rule effective June 30th he needs to give his head a shake. Even tonight they somehow got a pass on the piss test and that’s with day before weigh ins.
Chavez fought very well tonight, he's an extremely slow starter, but he's very deliberate with his punches and seems to pack quite a wallop.
Takes a good shot too, of course he is a 180 + lb man fighting a 165 lb man.
Martinez is even smaller than Lee, but faster and more skilled also with more punching power or at least accuracy.
I think Chavez has a shot in that fight due to his size, youth, drive and toughness. Having Roach in his corner doesn't hurt him either.
I'll go with Martinez though if they do end up fighting, his class should shine through despite the huge size disadvantage.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
Like it or not, Martinez will take the fight on whatever terms Chavez's team dictates. Chavez is the economically more substantial fighter, so that's just how it works, like it or not. Personally, I think Chavez has a much better chance to win than I thought 24 hours ago. Keep in mind, Martinez had some struggles with freakin' Darren Baker and Matthew Macklin before closing strong, so let's not pretend like he's unbeatable. He's a touch overrated, frankly. Chavez's size and body work give him a solid chance.
