One would assume with that extra weight Wlad will come in and do his best to out muscle Thompson. Some statistics, every time Wladimir has been a smidge over 244 he has won and won by stoppage: Mormeck 244 & 3/4 (KO 4); Sam Peter II 247 (KO 10); Chambers 244 & 3/4 (KO 12); Rahman 244 & 3/4 (TKO 7); and Austin 246 & 1/2 (KO 2). Also for the first fight Wladimir was outweighed on the scales by Tony Thompson 241 to 247 & 1/2 and Wladimir was still able to out hustle and out work the larger Thompson, stopping him in the 11th. In Rematches Wladimir has always won and always won by stoppage: Byrd II 7, Brewster II 6, Sam Peter II 10.

As always I'll be hoping for an aggressive Wladimir as I believe Thompson can't hang with Wlad's pace or power. Thompson likes to utilize his solid defense, size, and long jab, Wladimir will look to make Thompson move, give up angles, and make Thompson pay for any slip ups.
I don't really get why Thompson is getting a rematch unless he's a mandatory, he was knocked out in the 1st fight, and will get knocked out quicker in the rematch.
Having said that, I like watching Wlady, I can already hear Manny Steward somewhere around the 5th round saying: "Quit playing with this muther-fucker and knock him out, this is what fans want to see."
He is a mandatory
