He threw a lot more, but seemed to miss most of them and lacked any sort of bad intention. Felt it was anyone's match going into the 3rd and there for the taking, to which Tito clearly did. But who knows, MMA scoring is still a mystery to me. Was surprised Tito didn't try to take it to the ground earlier and more often.

Tito basically landed 2 good punches and some GnP. Griffin was the busier, more efficient and accurate fighter. The strike stats were massively in Forrest's favor. And yeah I don't know what he was doing when he ran out or when he took Rogan's mich.

Yes Tito won that fight. Everyone at the house I watched the fight at thought Tito had won, including my brother who was going for Forrest.

I guess it all comes down to how you score the 1st round, as it was close while the 2nd and 3rd were clear cut rounds for Forrest and Tito respectively.

Griffin always gets close decisions tho...

Anyway that was an anti climatic finish to the Silva-Sonnen fight as Sonnen pulled a Hatton a la Mayweather running his own head into the steel then just sat there and waited for Silva to finish him.

Bit of an early stoppage but Sonnen wasn't intelligently defending himself really or advancing position at all to get to his feet or take Silva down.

Missed it all together. Was busy watching a bloated super star go 12 rounds trying to be Ernie Shavers. Sounds similiar to first two, these dudes have to be staples of the sport. Same as boxing I wonder how hard judges, crowd lean to a guy who has announced his retire prior to the bout though.

this fight sucked. silva landed 3 clean shots and the fight gets stopped. they must have agreed on the winner and the outcome in advance.

This fight was strange. Anderson did not give a very good account of himself. To begin with wiping the vaseline of his face and onto his arms and chest. Luckly Yves Lavigne saw him and wiped it of with a towel. Then the blatant short grabbing which lasted for a good 20 seconds. This stopped Chael getting the t/d. Had he have got that who knows how the rest of the fight would have gone. Even after he he gave up the t/d Silva still had the shorts so he couldn't throw knees in the clinch. To top it off the finish...Silva threw that knee knowing full well it could have landed on Chaels face and been illegal. He didn't do himself any favours.

Yes the vaseline trick and the blatant short grabbing were def on full display. That combined with the early stoppage indicated that Silva knew what he could get away with and that the deck was stacked in his favor.

The whole thing was a little fishy, but I don't know if I'd go as far as to say it was fixed. Things certainly favored Anderson Silva A LOT. Chael was gonna have to work his ass off and do everything perfect to pull off a victory.

    So we meet again....

If they have round 3 I have no doubt Chael would win. Chaels coach is taking up a complaint for the knee because he was told by two NSAC officials that the knee was illegal and Chael said he he had to bite his tongue in the presser because it was an illegal shot that hit his head first. Also holding onto the cage for leverage is illegal. We will see how it goes hopefully round 3.

    And so we do....

Jose Aldo got away with similar things in a recent fight ie holding the fence, these things happen in fights, as for the knee, it was close to his head, but thats Chaels fault for putting his head down when Silva came in.
Silva keeps the fight standing he wins 9 times out of 10.
It will could be a long road back for Chael to get another shot, just hope Silva is still around when, and if he gets there.

Silva was very lucky this fight and lots of things went his way. In a division with so many good wrestlers his luck cannot last much longer.
