So what now? Haye fans will ride the wave of euphoria to say Haye should fight either Klitschko next. But IMO, Haye does not deserve another shot at Wladimir. At least not yet. He had his chance... and threw it away in the ugliest fashion. It's up to Vitali if he wants to give him a shot next. Then again... Haye has yet to fight any of the top heavyweights out there, other than Wlad. And that was a disgraceful showing. His resume reads: "Beat Valuev, beat Ruiz, lost to Wlad, beat Chisora." How about the other, probably more deserving heavyweights? The ones who have paid their dues? Arreola, Boytsov, Helenius, etc.

It's not unreasonable to ask that Haye work his way through at least a couple of these guys, before getting another shot at a Klitschko... preferably Vitali first. Haye shouldn't get any preferential treatment due to his big mouth and salesmanship. He should earn his shots... just like everybody else. And when he gets a shot and fucks it up royally...... back of the line for you.

So what should be Haye's next step? (Assuming, of course, that he doesn't throw a hissy fit if he doesn't get Vitali next and decides to "retire".)
In a nutshell, Haye doesn't deserve a shot at Vitali, but he'll probably get one because Vitali stands to make his biggest payday ever, so my guess is, Vitali will be licking his chops. Brit fanboys will spend millions again on a PPV thinking their hero has a chance, and Vitali can kick Haye's ass in a one-sided mismatch and ride off into the sunset with $20 million + in his hip pocket.

He has to come to America first. Bigger name = bigger pay checks.
