6 months from now Garcia vs. Khan II would have a simular result, it would just be a matter of time before Garcia got to him again. Like Joe Lewis said: "you can run but you can't hide".

I think Garcia beats him again. Garcia might not nail him early again but he will land big punches over the first few rounds. As in Khan's recent fights that'll slow Khan right down and they're back to having a war for as long as it lasts.

and we already saw that Garcia can take Khan's punches flush to the chin without flinching, so it'd be a uphill battle for Amir

Hate is a pretty strong word when talking about fighters and boxing. Anyway, I pick Khan if he ever learns how to grab and hold effectively. Yeah, yeah, yeah holding is against the rules but let the ref worry about it, the fighters job is to figure out a way to survive. Hang on as long as the ref will allow it. I would like to see another fight because Khan did everything right the first few rounds.

Wouldnt gain fans and wouldnt make a fight of it but would be enough for a UD. Garcia would have to make the most of the very few openings he was offered.

    You heard it here first
Problem is Khan has the worst ring IQ of any world champion (or rather former). Every fight he ends up fighting the other guy's fight, but has managed to largely pull it off thus far by his superior speed and athleticism. This is fine against the less dangerous punchers like Kotelnik or Malignaggi, where errors can be forgiven, or against the crude slugger Maidana, who lacked the skill to finish the job. Against a decent puncher with quick hands, he will always be vulnerable.
All the pre-fight talk regarding Garcia gave him a puncher's chance, the left hook he floored Morales with. What does Khan do? Drops his right trying to land a wild uppercut on the inside all night. Madness.

I said Garcia it just seems Khan would fall into the same style of fight and get clocked again.

I think Khan could win this one. He needs Manny S. to teach him to tuck the chin, use the jab and keep the right hand by his chin.

I'd have to go with Garcia winning by stoppage again.

Khan would probably last longer because he wouldn't box in Garcia's range like the first time and would utilize a hit and run strategy but Khan would still lunge in when he throws his punches and Garcia is bound to catch him coming in again.

Any fighter with good timing and some pop will always trouble Khan.

I expect Garcia would get him again, but only due to Khan seemingly not being able to fight with a plan or recognize his limitations. Hypothetically I think Amir is more than capable of outboxing him over 12 rounds, although as Fenster pointed out he didn't seem to have the kind of power to really own the fight. I'm still not very impressed by Garcia, and didn't see it as a total beating he laid out whatsoever. Aside from the one left hook at the end of the 3rd, he was sloppy as hell and seemed to be nearly punching himself out trying to land the same punch over and over all through the 4th, and this was against a guy who was absolutely finished. It wasn't unlike Maidana trying desperately to land something for much of the 12th round against Khan. If(huge if, I know) Khan were smart or recovered well once hurt, there is no reason he couldn't have rode that round out and mounted a comeback imo. Garcia has no right hand at all and isn't a smart fighter himself, I think Lucas Mattyhse would slaughter him.

Problem Khan is going to face now is that every half decent opponent is going to walk through him. He doesn't seem to have enough power to stop a world level fighter in their tracks, and they know they're only one punch away from a ko win.

It occurred to me that even Peterson would surely have won their rematch, because he wouldn't have given away the first 3 or 4 rounds figuring out what to do with Khan. Khan struggles with pressure, or at least looks uncomfortable with it. And he keeps getting caught with shots around his ear/temple area. His chin in itself is ok. He's taken some belters on his chin at world level and fired back. He just always gets caught high up, so there's obviously a constant flaw in his defence that Roach hasn't been able to iron out. Whether that's down to Khan or Roach is anyone's guess.

As for a Garcia rematch, Khan got knocked out. The fight doesn't really warrant a rematch yet, but might do 12-18 months down the line. As to who will win, well that depends on if Khan get's caught or not. If he doesn't, he will win fairly easily. If he does, he will lose.

I get the feeling with Khan that he will retire with about 5 or 6 losses having won a world title on about 4 different occasions. Talented enough to beat most fighters at 140, but not durable enough to put any sort of a run together at world level. If he moves up to 147, it will be the end of him. Deeper talent, and bigger punchers.
