George Groves will be world champion and unify against De Gale and win that after Froch has retired.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.

That was a tough fighter he was in against last night, not great but tough. Groves was landing some big shots and he was just absorbing them. Great combination to finish it though. Groves seems like a genuinely nice bloke but when he has an opponent stunned and hurt he goes in for the finish without hesitation, just like a real fighter should.
He was a bit too wild at times, and does take some unecessary shots himself but he takes them well. There was some ring rust which was to be expected but he landed the best shots when it mattered. He covered up well on the ropes and knew when to hold. Good movement in general.
I just hope he doesn't look past the Kenny Anderson's of the world as he makes his way towards bigger fights because it could be disastrous. I definitely think he has the potential to be a Froch calibre of fighter. He likes a tear up but fights intelligently.
He has a good jab, and some great power in his right. A bit too right hand happy sometimes, could be worthwhile developing his power shots with the left a bit more but nothing major. As long as he stays on top of his fitness and doesn't lose focus I believe he can reach world title level. Injuries have been a problem lately apparently, hopefully that's all sorted.
Does anyone know if that cut has meant his September fight will be getting pushed back, I know it wasn't a terrible cut but will it have healed sufficiently in time?

I though he fought well, and reacted positively to the cut coming out to finish the job as quickly as possible. Landed some big shots, and dug in with his body shots too.
Anyone heard of any outright confirmation that the September fight is off due to the cut?

Booth said that the September fight won't happen now because this cut is going to take 4 weeks to heal and that's 4 weeks Groves can't spar.
So hopefully it will happen in October or something, it's a shame I want this Kenny Anderson farce to go away now. But Groves can't help having a massive noggin smashing him in the head I guess.

I was really impressed with the way Groves finished Sierra off, very aggressive with the combinations. Reminded me of Haye vs Chisora alot. Kind of like controlled blasts with both hands to stop him. Great stuff. Can't help but think he does look a punch away from being stopped sometimes though as he takes a lot too many when he loads up himself.
Always a pleasure to watch though, and like the above comment, I'm not interested in the Anderson fight, don't get that at all to be honest. Groves had a bad night and still stopped him. Reckon Groves stops him in great fashion a second time round.
