Someone needs to tell Hatton... "What happens if you lose to him? How will you explain yourself?"

Not only is foolish for Gatti, but what the hell would Hatton risk getting caught with a good one and KO'd by a man who will retire after the fight even if he wins it.

The logic for Gatti to have a go at Hatton isn't quite as weak as you want to make it, Wacko. While I have always agreed with you that Gatti is not an elite boxer - I've also given him a bit more credit than you.

Which is fine...to give Gatti credit...I respect his heart...but he always falls short against talent that is above club level...hence the reason that I have always viewed him that way.

Let's get them in the ring together and find out.

There are more deserving & better fights & fighters out there that should have the shot at Hatton.

The ONLY reason I would be happy with Hatton taking this fight is if he has NO other options but he does:cOTTO,Floyd or if he's not ready for them,go to 140,get a title for your fight with JLC.

Agreed...but it was more the way that he lost instead of just losing. There was no power, no gain, nothing against Baldomir, & then there was the KO.

I agree it would give Hatton more exposure if it played for free on HBO. As dumb a fight as it would be, more people would watch it than Hatton-Collazo I (or II, for that matter), if not just for the cringe-factor of seeing Gatti lose a few more brain cells and teeth. Although it would give Hatton more exposure though, it would do nothing to make people who don't know him think he's any good.

The question is though...how much of a name can you make for yourself off of Gatti now that he has been totally dismantled twice?

Because this fight happenening in New Jersey would be like the Superbowl....Gatti will still fill the Boardwalk to Capacity....From a dollar standpoint makes sense(no pun intended) from a what does the Boxing community have to gain, well since when does the higher ups really care about anything other than lining their pockets...But it might be entertaining

Personally I would like to see Gatti in with Ann Wolf, that would be a more competitive match in my opinion, although I'd still only give Gatti a punchers chance at best
