Often I have thought IQ has something to do with it (although it would be hard to prove); it has always eemed the brighter boxers had the weakest chin. :P

I figured you guys would jump all over Gerry Cooney so far I've only seen one put him down.I actually am defending him in this one.All I can say is look he was down against.Larry Holmes one of the greatest heavyweight champions,George Foreman again one of the greatest,Michael Spinks one of the best lightheavyweight champions.I would be glad to be knocked down by any of those fighters.LOL. Anyway you guys pretty much named all the Glass Joe's.

Ugh, Cooney took MASSIVE accumlation punishment from both Spinks and Holmes before going down.

He was coked out and way past his best weight when ATG great hitter Foreman nearly decapitated him.

I probably agree with that one... Plus everyone can get caught with a good shot that you're body is not prepared for and you'll go down... Some could say Hatton because he got decked by Mayweather in that case..

I think Roy handled punches pretty well, as age and split second lapses in concentration eventually caught up with him, so did the canvas..

But THEN, we hasn't hit much either..

    lol!

He got stopped twice BIG TIME. And he does have a bad chin.

Do you know who owns the best chin? Try looking up Gerry Penalosa's record. He's 36, reigning champ, and has never been down. Just to let ya know, he went toe to toe with DPDL too and he shoulda won that fight.

Lennox Lewis i put in the same boat as i do zab with a lot more.

Because Lewis was great at getting hit with shots you don't see coming. But he was able to take bombs off of people where he saw everything. Anyone's chin can be glass when its not a shot you see. I remember watching Larios and Vasquez fight I think that was the two and one of them got hit with a hard shot that he just fell to the canvas in a heap, and they both had iron chins. I dont remember which one was KO'd badly, but i do remember the thud on the mat

MAybe theres a link to the big talkers and loose chins .

Zab is there with bells on still sharp little fighter.

Mundine was classed as glass, but is very skilled.
Look close and it was a temple shot ,that was he stupid fault for going sideways and posing in front of a champion plodder.

Loose chin, loose mind, loose mouth ,it adds up.
