I love how they give grown men a curfew, and tell them can't associate with people they have known for 4 generations, based on the fact that they are called a gang. In the town where I live now, back in 1914, and again from 1918-1922, there was martial law. That was because of labor union activity, and because two consecutive 'socialist' mayors were elected.
Any excuse is no excuse when the police state is grabbing power.

Reminds me of the mob back in the early days they met up in church unhindered.
You can guess where their business will be taken.

Good for you folks. We got no police to talk of around here except the sleeping ones, and the 'in' thing these days are two guys riding in bike with full-covered helmets, one does the driving and the other does the shooting, and most of the time, they're never caught. So anybody has anything against anyone, just get yourself a partner and ride your bike and do your stuff - or if you can afford it, you can hire a pair - and you can get rid of your enemy without worrying about being put in a slammer...
...give us some of your police, even a rascal will do...
Once in awhile, get outside in fresh air, take a deep breath & with a deep sigh, let out all the things that's bottled up inside you & be free, & you'll get a glimpse of nirvana.

You'll probably be okay as long as you don't step on the wrong toes, but what disturbs me is that they hardly get caught. Can't blame the police here that much either 'cause they got no money, facility or capability to find and go after those thugs. When they don't have any strong leads, the police here usually just sweep those cases under the rug, and they only go after them when they have some leads or clear evidence. Here in my mates place Davao, it's a little different situation though. Most of them are vigilantes of a local politician who's been targeting drug pushers and I've known few (just casual acquaintance though) of the victims, but me and my mate know personally most of the hitmen! My partner has been more concerned and vocal about it, probably because she's woman, but I told her to hold her horses 'cause there's nothing we can do about it. Don't want her to get in any trouble with them. I probably 'indoctrinated' her with too much of those 'western ideals' (for more than 30 years). That's why, Andre, I've been very reluctant to reveal my personal info's, I don't trust the net that much, and remember the robbery I've told you about several years back, it was them. That's why I've been awake at night all these time (it's 4am now in here) and I sleep when my partner wakes up. If you check my posts, they're almost all made between 12-5am (Ph time, same as Perth time) ever since I came here...
Flood's been very bad here, a record one they say, and I've been seeing water all over the place for several weeks. But not to worry though, it's just about a knee level here at our place and the only problem is that we can hardly travel 'cause the water level can go as high as rooftops in some places so there are many places not passable for vehicles...
...sorry about that, greynotsoold, for hijacking your thread just a bit...

Gee mate, you do very well to stay so balanced within the eye of the storm as you do.
If you did have to do the worse to protect yourself or your misses dont ever let it bother you, From even the highest spiritual point you have every right to defend.
Just strap them to some timber pour petrol over them and send them off down the river or street as the case is.
