nevermind. He also said Molina beats Alvarez...oh boy
Molina is a tough outing for anyone at 154. Teddy's statement was not outlandish. Think about it. Golden Boy was searching high and low for an opponent for Alvarez's 9/15 date. High and low. They offered James Kirkland a lot of money to face Alvarez. They settled on a career-junior welterweight, Josesito Lopez. Yet, for the same amount of money, Golden Boy could easily have made a fight with Carlos Molina or Erislandy Lara. That should tell you all you need to know about the level of risk they associate with Lara and Molina. Not to mention, in my eyes, Molina beat Kirkland and Lara. For my money, Molina is one of the best junior middleweights right now.

I'm actually with ya there bud on Molina being legit ranked and more than earned another big bout. More so than a willing but smaller Lopez for sure. He was a clear credible option after telling Cintron in no uncertain terms "your done", wasn't intimidated and I think out hustled Lara for a win when it counted and was shafted and hood winked in the Kirkland match. The only thing missing were black ski masks being worn by the ref and officials. It just struck me as I've heard noooo one so emphatic and certain as Teddy saying he would beat Canelo clean. Style wise, with the mauling and how much Molina gets in close with little fire power and he's not hard to hit clean, I see Alvarez body work breaking him down. I'd buy he and Canelo giving the circumstances, but I really believe Lopez is being thrown to the literal wolves just to keep a date.
