If he beats Kessler I'm guessing there'll be a guaranteed rubber match in the contract. Even if he loses that a fight with Ward in Nottingham would still be viable but Ward will almost certainly make him go to Oakland or wherever he fights and Froch would be on the thin end of the purse. So he might fight Ward for the glory if he really think he has a chance or else just have another Mack-type fight and go out on a win.

I honestly think Froch would hVe an easier fight against Ward as long as he starts fast and doesnt think too much of his power which has been his downfall where hes not looked good. He loads up and waits too much. He has the stamina and strength to give anyone a hard fight but doent have the skills to piss around waiting.
Id say do Bute again, then try Ward while still fresh, not Kessler and have a tough draining fight because we will all want to see a Kessler fight after that win or lose and at least he would have fought Ward who want be hitting him with shots that Kessler would and this will prolong his career to the point where he can have the final fight against Kessler and hopefully for him win.
Hope that makes sense![]()

What im trying to say is Froch should fight Ward before any draining Kessler fight. Get in with Ward and throw everything at him like he did to Bute. Give him a tough time like Bika did but do it from the start!
Then have the big momey rematch with Kessler.

Mack first, Bute return fight , comfortable win again, then the fight he craves against
Kessler, which i have no doubt will be another cracking fight, but this time the Cobra
kicks his Dane arse. Then i hope he has a rematch with Andre Ward as his final
fight. Froch will be a big underdog, but he should go hell for leather in a all out war
and may the best man win ............. Froch![]()

... after he loses to Ward he campaigns at light heavy losing Cleverly and goes down and challenges De Gale who he beats and loses to Groves.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
