More money in america thats why the fights are usually there. Hatton went there many times in the prime of his career and so has khan.
Ward makes more money this way and so do the opponents.

True, but there's no need to ONLY fight in Oakland what about Vegas or NY or freaking LA for that matter. Andre Ward fights in his backyard ALL THE TIME! 4 of his last 6 fights have been in Oakland.
I wonder if anyone at 160 could move up to challenge him, at one point in time I thought Andy Lee or Peter Quillen would run 168, but right now it's all Ward. Now the question becomes: does he unify the titles & defend them, defend his titles, or move weight divisions in search of bigger fights?

Ward got $1.3m against Dawson ($600,000)
Chavez Jr-Martinez are carving up $4.4m in Vegas.
It's not really America where the money is, it's more about where you fight in the USA and what TV company you're with.
Add all their purses together and that's about the amount David Haye made for bashing up Chisora. Triple it for the Klitschko fight![]()

Ward vs the winner of the JC Jr - Martinez fight would be big

Absolutely but as I said previously:
1. I really don't see Junior winning; to me, the fight is a mismatch. I think the most likely outcome is the fight gets stopped in the late rounds.
2. Martinez is a natural 154 pounder. He's very small for middleweight and would be completely disadvantaged at anything over 160. And I don't see Ward going down to 160. Even a catchweight of 164 would be a big net disadvantage to Martinez.
3. But if Junior is way better than I give him credit for and actually beats Martinez (most likely as a gift from Jose Sulaiman), then by all means, Ward-Junior at 168 is the biggest fight you could make. Junior would even have a size advantage.

Not really -- the difference there is that one fight involves the son of a huge boxing legend and the other doesn't. "Carving up $4.4m" is misleading -- $3M is going to Junior; Martinez is getting only $100k more than Ward got to fight in Oakland against a much smaller-name (outside of hardcore boxing fans) opponent.

Once again, Ward has lost in court to Goosen.

The Word is the next for Ward. Not sure what it means though

ward sucks balls. boring, dirty, clinching hugging lame-o.

Well, since he lost in court to Goosen, it all depends on who Goosen wants him to fight.
Goosen WILL put him in with tougher opponents, just to run Ward ragged.

Ward can beat all, his next challenge is to fight away from his hometown.

But then I won't be able to get there by car!
Anyway, I'm guessing his next big fight will be in Vegas. He's gotten a lot of accolades following the Dawson fight. No, he's not going to command the size purse that Chavez Jr. does (which we all know is 95% due to the identity of his father), but now that people are openly questioning whether he might be the #1 p4p fighter in the world, he's a bigger name.
England is a relatively tiny country. I don't see why he would go there to face a challenger he already dominated with one broken hand. (I also think Froch would prefer to fight Bute and Kessler again before even thinking about a Ward rematch -- he's said as much -- and at that point he'll be pushing 37 years old.)
