If he looks terrible and is going life and death with some fossilised lightweight or light welter who has moved up to 147 to fight him then it's going to take a lot of gloss off his return. Who's going to want to watch him lose badly to Paulie or Khan if he's obviously nowhere near that level anymore?

He's never going to fight anybody British first time out in case he loses. Definitely not Witter. There's zero chance of that fight happening. It'll be some foreign hasbeen who can make him look good.

He kept mentioning getting world rated and the only "champ" he mentioned was Powederpuff. There are plenty of fighters in the WBA top 15, with pretty unbeaten records, that he could beat.
