I have The Brockton Blockbuster at #56....

Greb(b) was Greater IMO because:

Only 8 defeats in 299 fights in only 13 years, Harry died in 1926 aged only 32 (Died under anaesthetic in surgery)

Only man to beat Gene Tunney as a pro

Three year reign as Middleweight Champion beating Mickey Walker during his reign.

Beat a Tommy Gibbons, who went into the fight unbeaten (76-0-1-1)

Beat Tommy Loughran and a 45-1 Jimmy Slattery

Also claimed 'Newspaper Decisions' over Gibbons, Tunney, Tiger Flowers, Maxie Rosenbloom, Kid Norfolk, Gunboat Smith, Mike McTigue and Battling Levinsky.

And on top of all this, he fought his entire pro career with only sight in one eye!

Very true, I love to debate. But the only way you can say a fighter is beyond his prime is if he has either loss or has showed signs of slowing down, at the time of the fight Chavez had done niether. He had a brilliant performance before and after the Whitaker fights so how can you say he was out of his prime.

Very funny. Fighters such as Mosley, Lacy, Maywheather, Taylor, Ried had tons of fights (some in the hundreds) far before they ever even turned pro, what does that mean? That means if you are fighting part time boxers (boxers who cant live off of their wages so they have to work other jobs) it's very easy to build a record like that, and it would not take 13 years I tell you that much. Add the fact that Chavez is only a year and a half older than Whitaker you dont have much. I won't take anything from Chavez because he was a great fighter but prime or no prime Pernell Whitaker was better, he proved it time and time again.
