Ponce v Gonzalez was a little surprising

Liked this one but pulling for Gonzalez but it wasn't to be. That cut looked like he had been hit square in the forehead with a ballpen hammer, ugly stuff. This one had a feel of one that have taken place years ago but good to see two honest vets go after it.

Announcer said it was Joe Cortez last referee assignment, is that accurate?

I heard the fight was boring and Cortez refereed Alvarez v Lopez as his last fight.
