It was sad to watch and disapointing as I thought the man would at least try as he did against Wlad a few years back.
He's kind of like how Zab was a few years back after getting title shot after title shot except less talented. Zab could always be a force at 140 against anyone on a good day. The problem is that these guys have a name now so they can always be catapulted right up there for title shots without having done much. Zab was the former undisputed welter champ and Rahman has a K.O over Lewis for the heavyweight title. Good for Zab who has refocused himself, bad for Rahman who just wants pay.

I remember watching that fight, Hulk and thinking Rahman made no effort in that one either. Maybe I remember wrong but I don't remember him throwing much. He seemed awfully gun shy and shot to bits. He better hang em up before he loses his faculties or worse.

Your right he didn't do much in that fight with Wlad either but that was largely because he couldn't do anything and was outclassed. He still hung in there longer than 1 1/2 rounds though.

Against Povektin he just looked like an out of shape NFL player with gloves on.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"

I don't understand why Rahman has had big fights since quitting against Toney and how Toney has gone nowhere. It is just nonsense really and has no justification. Toney doesn't get beaten up, Toney doesn't get stopped. Even Adamek refused to fight Toney.

Toney has been silenced out despite all his talking.

Toney doesn't get into shape, Toney fights once a year, and Toney got his ass handed to him by a Cruiserweight, soooo we should be applauding Adamek for not taking on Toney not trying to bash the guy, hell Toney's doing the same thing as Rahman looking for an easy paycheck, that's why he was lined up to fight Ken Shamrock in a special rules "MMA" bout until it got canceled, we need the REAL contenders to be fighting each other, not the dinosaurs stepping up to get paid and a beating

Is it me or was the punch that ended the night for Ustinov not a very big punch? Also, did Pulev hold back from firing a right hand there when he knew Ustinov was capitulating?

Rahman's son was supposed to be somewhat talented and working with Manny Steward, BUT last I heard he was in a very bad car wreck that had at least 1 fatality and might be facing legal actions...but that was the last I heard of him. That might be a reason why Hasim is still fighting.

I also thought that this was a strange ko...Ustinov later claimed that the punch hit him on the ear(which it did)and he lost his equilibrium...or maybe he just had enough, lost his will and called it a day ...

Lebedev was a clear injury loss. Then an easy return earlier this year.

Toney has been looking for a fight for months now and still nothing. Nobody is prepared to do business with him. But my point is that Toney was beating Rahman in their NC and it is Rahman who has got title shots and shots at contenders. Toney gets nothing, even Adamek wouldn't go through with it.

Rahman has received a lot of breaks and deserved none of them. Toney has received none.

Toney could do the dishes at KFC at best. He is the most overrated boxer in the last 20 years. He has done less than nothing to deserve a fight against any top100 HW. Even free TV will not air his fights now.
