I doubt many fighters in history, without a height/weight/reach advantage, could have beat prime Tyson.

It sure would have been a spectacle.

Good fight. Hide the children and call the cops. I like Tysons handspeed on Tua but if he layed in and mauled shame on him.

We never really got to see prime Tyson. He was self-destructing even before he won his first belt. The primest Tyson we did see was the scariest combination of speed, mobility and power that I've ever seen by an absolute country mile and would have destroyed Tua.

I declare Shenanigans, do you accept? Of course we got to see a PRIME Tyson, it's just he's a pressure fighter and by their mid 20's they are usually all done.

I think Tyson beats Tua, but Tua could land and follow up for a stoppage, I say Tyson wins 70% of the time, 50% of that by KO/TKO. David Tua had a good chin, but I think the speed in which Tyson delivers his punches is the deciding factor. Plus did anyone have success with Tyson trying to hook with him

The fight tua lost against Charles Ibeabuchi was a classic and showed what heart he had..but tyson is a different beast..

    I agree with this.^

Never knew there were so many tyson haters. Tyson would massacre anyone his own size.
Where is tua in the hall of fame?

Thats interesting when you mention size.

How many other 5,10" fighters would you favour over a klitschko?

Size was mentioned due to nearly all tysons opponents are bigger than him and many consider tyson to be a small heavyweight.

No I agree, what I was saying is that for a fighter of only 5,10" Mike Tyson is the only fighter that short that anyone would favour over both Klitschkos.

I posted some stats about Tyson's weight/height in comparsion to his opponents a while back. I don't think he ever had an advantage over any opponent.

If "prime" Tyson can wipe the floor with people much bigger than him, what would he do to people his own size?

Cheers fella. Its true. Theres not many out there. Tysons speed, massive powerful tree trunk legs and quick head movement primed by gus will get inside and unleash devastating combos!!

Pretty much this. Tyson could outbox Tua as well as outslug him, Tua had a chin for days but Tyson hitting him with precision both to the body and to the head it's not out of the question that Tyson would have done some damage. If Chris Byrd was able to effect Tua to the body, I'd cringe to think what Tyson's body attack would have done to him.
