Degale wants froch next year..

De Gale is signed to Fat Mick and Channel 5. Froch is signed to Matchroom and Sky. If the fight was to be made Matchroom would call the shots and Fat Mick/C5 would have to let their guy fight on another promoter's bill/another network. There's zero chance of this happening so De Gale is free to try and generate some publicity for himself by calling Froch out for a fight that can't happen. Expect him to keep doing it every few months, every time he's on the telly basically.

I think they could build up interest in De Gale v Eubank on channel 5.

I think that Channel 5 and FM want both guys to eventually fight for world titles. Can't see any promoter matching his two best prospects before they're both established belt holders.

This is the crux of the matter. Degale has done nothing to expect a fight with Froch next year or any other year in the future. Carl has his fight with Mack and then at least 6 months off. Then he has the rematch with Bute and another 6 to 8 months off. After tonight he then would have to consider Stevenson. Somebody tell Degale to take his blown up head out of his ass and go fight somebody.

Agree with IamInuit, DeGale hasn't earned that fight yet. It's like Peter Quillin calling out Sergio Martinez a year ago.
