Mike missed Cus like he was his actual son. Camille became the closest person to Mike after D'amatos passing and he listened to any advice she gave him like his life depended on it.

Now they are both gone i think he must feel like a big part of his life is missing.. They gave a young kid stability when his life had none.

Kevin is the last remaining person that was around him in that environment who knew exactly what those days were like.. It would have been a good thing for them to properly reconcile and Mike could have a true friend backin his life that he could rely on unconditionally.

If Mike and Kevin had reunited in 1994 when Mike came out of the Indiana Centre, Mike could have really propelled himself into a position where he could have made a larger and more substantial impact on the division and never made those stupid rash dcisions that have made thier mark on the way others today perceive him.

Mike lost respect for himself and had lost all faith in humanity.. That is a damn shame.

in 1987 The most amazing story in heavyweight boxing reached a pinacle, a lovely tale of a young boys dream was turned into a reality because of his faith in those who cared for him.

Now in 2006 That story has been all but forgotten and that boy has become a man whom is not bad to the core , just misunderstood .. We all forget the good and remember the bad.

Mike could have been an icon to supercede Muhammad Ali, rather than a man who is loathed by many who choose to beleive what they read.

Its the nature of humanity to loathe what we dont understand.
