@Rantcatrat
Yes...
He bowed twice. When they first met up center stage to take pics and once they were done taking pics.
Very respectful and gentleman like as usual from Donaire.
I'm picking the underdog. I noticed that Donaire gets bored too easily in the ring and he gets hit too much. He's got nice power and speed. He is taller and fresher legs. However as I said earlier he just gets hit too much and his punch output has decreased.
A technician vs a boxer who loves to knock out generally leads to the technician winning by dismantling the opponent.
However Nishioka is older, much older.
This card starts @10:00 PM ET or about 3 hours from now on HBO - Banzai bitches!
At Carson, Calif. (HBO): Nonito Donaire vs. Toshiaki Nishioka, 12 rounds, for Donaire's WBO/IBF junior featherweight title; Mike Alvarado vs. Brandon Rios, 10 rounds, junior welterweights; Jose Benavidez Jr. vs. Pavel Miranda, 8 rounds, junior welterweights.

Nonito was raised old school discipline by his military dad. I remember him bowing and leaning his forehead on Montiel's dad's hand. We call that mano po in the Philippines. That's how we show respect to our elders. Sad thing is, most young Pinoy generation now a days don't do that anymore.
@CutMeMick,
Great job on the thread you posted, the interviews were really professional looking, I hope you do more of them for Saddos.
As for tonight's fights, Donaire by KO somewhere after 6th round - And as much as i'd truly love to see Alvarado stomp a mudhole in Rios' ass, i'll say Rios wins a SD. (I hope i'm wrong)
cheers dude

To me this trio should be the norm on HBOs mic!
There are no back feet in Alvarado and Rios. Expect carnage, short carnage.

Good first round.
Alrighty, here we go, Bob Papa, Kellerman and RJJ calling the action for HBO B.A.D., first up, Mike Alvarado vs. Brandon Rios.

C'mon Alvarado! C'mon Nonito!
I'm predicting a KO9 for Alvarado and UD for Donaire.

Like Rios coming underneath but Alvarado is mixing it up nice and Rios was just standing there a couple of times after combos...Alvarado 1-0
Hmm, good round one, it's hard to imagine this going 10 rounds..
Wow Rios/Alvarado living up to the hype! I'd be real surprised if this one goes the distance.
