Ibeabuchi v tyson?

Tyson lost to most people who hit him back.

After he was exposed as hit-able, it was a fast and impressive downward spiral, I almost felt sorry for Tyson at times. I'm glad to see he has made a "comeback" of sorts in a lot of people's eyes.
Mike Tyson has done just about everything the hard way, he has had an interesting life, to say the least.
Would he have won or lost against Ibeabuchi? I don't know, but Tyson was nowhere as durable as Ike in my opinion.

Being serious for a second, the deal with Ike Ibeabuchi is that he's from Nigeria and Nigeria has a storied history of heavyweights (albeit not all positive). Lots of the Nigerian heavyweights showed great promise (Ibeabuchi included) but then failed to impress after great performances. David Izon, Friday Ahunaya, Sam Peter, etc...these guys looked like unstoppable forces but then met resistance and were humbled by better boxers. I will always believe that if given more time in the division than his 20 fights he would have been "found out" and once beaten he would have not looked so great.

Ibeabuchi was diagnosed with bipolar and schizo-effective disorders which over time would have hindered his effectiveness in the ring either because he would have HAD to use drugs to make sure his head was right (those drugs have huge side effects) or he would have just gone bonkers in training or in a fight.

Mike Tyson is bipolar too but the schizo part of Ike's diagnosis is what worries me.

That reminds me a guy David Izeqwire who looked gangbusters at cruiserweight destroying Bobby czyz, lost his next and won everything else after and dropped off the map. Little more direction and molding who knows.

Top notch match yeh! I go Holyfield over Ike too. For all the reasons above and two guys with totally night and day mentality. Unlike Tua Holyfield would be hitting him with twos and threes. Ike just imploded once he 'made it'. Overwhelmed and mentally not prepared under the spotlight.

I agree with Spicoli the thicker neck wins it for me. Tyson must have the thickest neck in history which means “he could take a hell of a punch and possibly the greatest heavyweight as a result” end quote from Ross.

Would have been a great fight, but Tyson would've landed combinations on him and probably have been to mobile at his best. I think Ibeabuchi is quite overrated on behalf of the Tua fight myself, that was an epic battle but against a guy who really couldn't move or land more than one at a time. David Tua is severely overrated by some people imo, Tyson was a way different type of dangerous.

Ike never fought someone that hand defense & could make him pay. He fought Chris Byrd who had good defense but feather fists and he fought Tua who could bang but not dodge much at all....I think if he fought Holyfield or Lewis and perhaps even Tyson he would have had a difficult time because he put everything behind his punches and if you miss and get caught by one of those guys then you're in trouble no matter who you are.
