At Verona, N.Y. (HBO): Thomas Dulorme vs. Luis Carlos Abregu, 10 rounds, welterweights; Miguel Vazquez vs. Marvin Quintero, 12 rounds, for Vazquez's IBF lightweight title; Mauricio Herrera vs. Karim Mayfield, 10 rounds, junior welterweights.
Pretty solid card. We are seeing an increase in triple headers it seems and that's a good thing! It may be a long shot but I wouldn't be totally shocked to see upsets. Herrera reminds me of a Carlos Molina and up until his last go Mayfield isn't awe inspiring. Abregu is awkward dangerous, as much for a headbutt, shoulder block as he is a wide bomb. Be nice to see words for Manny but honestly ten count isn't enough. They could sound that bell for three hours and he'd still be due. That man leaves a massive void.
Why the fuck can't I view the second page of this thread?
Alrighty, here we go, Kellerman Papa, and RJJ calling the action for HBO, first up, Miguel Vazquez vs. Marvin Quintero, 12 rounds, for Vazquez's IBF lightweight title.
Now I see why, even though it's a IBF lightweight title fight, Vazquez vs. Quintero isn't the main event.![]()
Vasquez needs to do what he does and box his game. Thought we were back in Brooklyn for a second with all the booing..in the 1st round![]()
@Spicoli, ever drink any Newcastle Brown Ale? I'm getting addicted to the stuff.![]()
Vasquez wants to fight the winner of DeMarco - Broner? He'd get starched by either one of those Pugs.
