A prime RJJ would toy with JC.
That invisible chin of RJJ would reappear and JC would be happy to just go 12 rounds knowing he hanged with a legend.

RJJ in my opinion never had to prove he had a great chin, as his game was to hit and hop it he never
really engaged in toe to toe stuff. Jones relied on his reflexes, and speed, he was not a fighter I never
really took to, I can say I never really enjoyed watching him fight.
His style of fighting is not for me, as with Hopkins not for me it's down to your taste , I do like Mayweather and Mosley. As with all things in life, if we all liked the same things it would be boring.![]()

Can't believe this is really a discussion.
Mosley was coming off a sensational knockout victory over a man many regarded as the number one fighter in a talent rich division.
Jones Jr. was coming off a listless outpointing of a former welterweight standout who hadn't fought in three years at a catchweight of 170lbs.

Calzaghe about TWO years before fighting old, rusty shot jones:-
"By this stage (2006) Roy Jones had been knocked out by Glen Johnson and Antonio Tarver and, although he's still active, I would never want to fight him now. He's not the same fighter and I'd have nothing to gain by beating a shadow of what he once was. Jones was a great fighter in his day and a great name, but he's been knocked out twice, knocked out cold. What would I gain by knocking him out for a third time?"
Fast forward to November 2008 and a 39-year-old Jones was still dangerous enough to put Calzaghe on his backside in the first round of their clash at Madison Square Garden before Joe went on to win but not knock out a faded, desperate jones.

Now your saying it was a money fight for both fighters! But in your earlier posts you mentioned it was a masterpiece!
Make your mind up buttercake.

Masterpiece is a great way to describe the way floyd took moselys best shot twice and completely dominated him after that.
Perfect chin.
All those steriods mosely took in the past stayed in his system and turned him into a KO machine with speed.
Floyd had moselys number in any era and everyone at the time was avoiding mosely after the destruction of margarito whether he had the wraps or not.

Maybe....But i can't see him having dela hoya's no in any era!
P.s This is what u call a masterpiece:
Any prime or potential that Lacy would have had was beaten out of him in this fight. It happens in boxing. Other examples could be Trinidad vs. Reid, Chavez vs. Taylor, or Trinidad vs. Vargas. Going into the fight Lacy's people thought that Joe was a joke! How wrong they were! In fact thinking about it calzaghe has produced masterclass after masterclass...Lacy, Eubank, Kessler, Jones etc

JC outboxed lacy and showed what a boxing clinic truly is..but close your eyes and put a prime RJJ in with JC..just be honest to yourself.

Even if we were just to swap opponents for both fighters.
Pretend JC had RJJ opponents and RJJ vice versa up until the first tarver fight.
Im pretty sure roy would have a higher KO% with JC opponents and remain easily undefeated.
JC on the other hand (still a great boxer) would have a few losses under his belt. ie: toney, hopkins and would calzaghe risk moving up in weight..naaa.
JC could not even complete the list.
As much i like JC stamina, fast hands and boxing skills he just seems to have missed the boat in say a handful of fighters he could have fought to erase any doubt in anyones mind..but, 46-0 is still a very well respected achievement.
Just take more risks!
