My hating has never enriched Mayweather and sucker punches are poor value for money. Most sensible people would agree, Mayweather is looking somewhat ring worn now too. The Cotto fight was actually very close and Mayweather looked for the easy way out against Ortiz.

He is the best boxer you have seen? Floyd was very good at the smaller weights, but for years now he has been picking and choosing and ducking and diving. The man is a fraud. You cannot say someone is the best you have ever seen if he doesn't play the game and Floyd doesn't play the game, he does it his way and it all about money rather than greatness. Hatton at WW, overweight against Marquez, Ortiz suckerpunch, Cotto close, DLH occasional pot shot and run, the Manny run around. It's a nonsense really. That's the best you have ever seen? I agree that was a sucker punch, Mayweather showed how ruthless he can be and as a fighter although i consider him an amazing talent I lost some respect for him that fight as a fighter. There was no need to do that, Ortiz was right in front of him and it was obvious he wasn't ready. Cortez didn't help matters but no surprise there. I understand during a fight a boxer will have a lot going through his head but Mayweather is experienced enough that he could have let the fight get going. He wanted an early night, I still think Ortiz at his best could have caused Mayweather problems bullying him against the ropes and rushing him but as the saying goes rules are rules and Mayweaher got away with it. Ortiz was stupid to put the nut in, he wasted an opportunity of a lifetime. I was just disappointed with it all more than anything and i'm sure it's the same for most.

As for the crazy amount of money he earned, can't really knock it. I wouldn't say no, I doubt any of his family will have to work again for a long, long time and who wouldn't like to be in a position to take advantage of that opportunity. As long as people go to these events and PPV does well athletes will always earn ridiculous amounts of money.
