Oh well. Ekondayu - McKewan was a messy but good opener. Very close IMO.

@katfight your friend Nav up next in semi final 2 . He already dealt well with a guy trying to take his head off so should be able to outbox Carruthers.

How wrong you were beanz...absolutely made up for Carruthers...he's been matched against a lot of up and comers, and never comes to cover up. Really deserved that one, he ain't the kind of boxer who'll make big waves over 12 rounds, but he's just so persistent and difficult to avoid over the 3 round distance. Think he may give the other fella some trouble in the final.

Well, at least I can help you not just be talking to yourself!

Your right Rhun. Cant begrudge Carruthers he fought his heart out. Just feel a bit bad that I may have jinxed Katfight's mate though. I fancy Larry in the Final though. He has shown some great stuff tonight for such a novice.

No doubt Larry looks well suited to an elusive boxing style, similar to Ajose Olusegun, but Carruthers is willing to take one, two and three shots to get inside so he can unload a five or six punch flurry, and it'll be interesting to see how Okundayo deals with it.
