Tsk, tsk, tsk.....
Biting the silver spoon that has fed him all these years.
Doesn't he know that without Papa and Sulaiman pulling the strings he wouldn't have amounted to shit?

Yep, his dad was really fucking up his training camp, like trying to make him turn up and train all the time.
Sometimes a child needs to learn by himself and make mistakes with no one else but himself to blame. That way he can grow up and become a better person and really appreciate what he has in life. This may be the making of Junior.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Sometimes it makes a fighter better to get out from under your security blanket. I don't like JC Jr, but I respect his decision. The main thing is fathers see things one way, they know what worked for them and that's it that's the only way their sons should fight....take a look at Marvis Frazier. His dad 'Smokin' Joe wanted him to fight in that same style but Marvis was a slick fighter and trying to turn him into a brawler didn't work out well at all. PBF, RJJ, it worked for them to get out from under daddy's wing.
JC Jr. is a bit full of himself but he has yet to prove he's as great as he thinks he is and that my friends is his biggest problem.
Thats the way I'm looking at it. He seemed to be the one telling him what he didn't want to hear and pissing him off with advice. I see Roach tolerating his disrespect and his other yes men just helping him move the furniture around for some serious 'training'. Cutting off dad won't make him sac up anymore than the public undressing Martinez put on him.
Get the feeling Jr is tired of living in daddy's shadow. Didnt seem too impressed after the fight with Martinez, when instead of interviewing him, they brought up daddy, you could see it on his face, wasnt impressed at all.
THE SKY IS THE LIMIT NOT THE LIMIT IS THE SKY
On one hand I understand that he wants to be his own man but the problem is that he used his father's name to get so far ahead of the game as compared to the rest of the contenders, and to suddenly shun it seems ungrateful.
I don't think his father is the reason he lacks discipline but who knows maybe if he gets the sense that he doesn't have a safety net he'll shape up and be half decent. Nothing truly elite but a good B+/A level contender.
Yes. Freddie doing that tells me he knows his Parkinsons won't let him do this much longer and he needs to make as much as he can in the time left to cover his bills in retirement. Otherwise he would have walked straight away instead of being made to look like an idiot on 24/7.
Who is that girl in your signature? I tried to pm you but your mailbox is full.
I heard that Chavez Sr. made some offensive comments about Jr's habit of wearing pink underwear, and Junior became furious about it, calling his father homophobic. I mean really, if your son's gay and wants to wear women's underwear, what the big deal? Be a little more open minded.
Everyone outgrows their parents at some point, some do it at 17 and some do it later.
Trying to figure out what's going on inside someone else's family is a waste of time, in my opinion, unless there was a crime of some kind.
Let's hope it's the right move for Jr, and he dumps some of his asinine ways too.
